Remembrance Sunday 2016

13.11.16

This year the weather was a better but cold and clear none of the rain and wind we experienced in 2015.
The event was extremely well attended with all the local organisations being represented and us all marching from the church to the Memorial.
There were already a few personal small wooden crosses on the memorial, when we arrived and the words on some made me very reflective and thoughtful.

There then followed a short service with some very poignant words being spoken. The last post was played.  Together with a piper from one of the Scottish regiments who played a lament, which was for me, was very moving.
The wreaths were laid; It was with pride again that I had the privilege of laying the wreath on behalf of the West Lancashire Province of Mark Master Masons and the members of Queensway Lodge.
